SAFETY INCENTIVE RECOGNITION

Zero Accident Cap Award Program:

·         TWSCO "Safety Award Cap" for industrial employee group *(Driver, Dock, Fill Plant, Warehouse, Counter)

        The TWSCO Zero Accidents Safety Cap is an “earned” cap based upon safety and accident free performance – it is not a giveaway hat or purchase item.  The    

        employee would wear the cap to work offering (1) a constant reminder, (2) recognition/pride, (3) competitive/positive co-worker peer pressure.  When the

        employee has an accident the cap can no longer be worn until one (1) year of accident/injury free performance. 

The eligibility requirements are as follows:

·         One (1) year accident / injury free performance

·         Retroactive employees to 1/1/2003

·         Tied to quarterly meeting award distribution

 

Safety Pin Award Program:

TWSCO Safety Award pins

·         One (1), three (3) and five (5) year accident / injury free performance safety pins will be awarded to the * industrial employee group.

·         Retroactive employees to 1/1/1998

·         Tied to quarterly meeting award distribution

 

 

           SAFETY TRAINING

Monthly Safety Meetings:

Each Month all * industrial group employees attend mandatory safety training meetings hosted by the department Managers.  Topics are generated from GAWDA recommendations as well as hot topic issues and recent safety concerns or violations.  Safety training also encompasses tests to ensure recall.  All safety meetings are documented for OSHA and DOT compliance. 

 

           SAFETY POLICIES AND COMMITMENT

Safety Rules: 

TWSCO Safety Rules will be placed in the break room.

·         Employees will receive formal safety training prior to assuming duties. (Documented, signed)

·         Counter, Dock, Driver & Warehouse employees must wear steel-toed safety boots at all times.

·         Employees in Fill-Plant must wear Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs and Gloves.

·         Employees filling propane are required to wear Gloves, Jacket and a Face Shield.

·         Employees filling cryogenic containers are required to wear Gloves, Jacket and a Face Shield.

·         Only RRC certified employees may fill propane or HPG cylinders.

·         Cylinders with equipped caps must be capped at all possible times.

·         Safety brake must be applied when TWSCO vehicles are parked.

·         Maintain an appropriate, legal and safe speed when driving trucks and forklifts.

·         Prior to backing up tucks and forklifts - Listen, Look and Verify its clear.

·         Do not jump off Dock, Lift gates or Truck beds at any time.

·         No unauthorized visitors are allowed in warehouse, fill plant or dock without a TWSCO escort.

·         No Horseplay
