Confidence!  Pure gases are all about having confidence in your supplier to provide the proper grade of product.  Some companies offer 20 grades of the same product, others offer one.  How do you know what you’re getting? 

TWSCO Specialty Gases considers high quality pure gases a Specialty Gas product, not an industrial gas product.  Our 20+ years experience in the gas business has taught us there are three critical factors in delivering high purity pure gases!

Raw Material Quality.  As the largest independent gas distributor in the Houston area TWSCO maintains multiple bulk tanks of differing grades of raw materials.  Our goal is to have the product you need on site and ready to ship within 24 business hours.

Cylinder Preparation.  High purity pure gases need a dedicated fleet of cylinders that are specifically prepared for these high purity gases.  This preparation includes baking the cylinders under vacuum to remove any cylinder contamination.  When the cylinders return for refill,TWSCO purges and evacuates them multiple times to again remove any contamination.  We do not “top fill” our high purity gases like most of our competitors.

Dedicated filling stations.  Industrial gases are about how quickly you can fill and ship pallet loads of cylinders.  Industrial fill manifolds are designed with quick connectors to minimize operator labor in the filling process.  TWSCO maintains separate fill manifolds for our high purity gases that are much more “leak free” than an industrial fill manifold.  There’s more labor involved in filling a high purity gas but that’s what makes it a Specialty Gas and not an industrial gas.

UHP Grades

 

TWSCO Specialty Gases offers three primary grades of pure gases.  These are generally sufficient for 95+% of our customer’s needs, however, if you need a “Specialty Gas” with unique specifications for your application TWSCO’s experts can work with you do design a “Custom Class” of product to fit your need.

Zero Grade. The entry level Specialty Gas grade of a pure gas product.  Most customer applications can be serviced with Zero grade.

UHP Grade. The highest quality of gas available that is used on a routine basis.  Usually used by laboratories & researchers for highly precise scientific analysis and research.

Research Grade. The highest quality product available.  This grade of product is very rarely used due to its rarity and cost.

Custom Grade. Customized grade around the customer’s unique specifications
